I ♥ you Momoka

The window does not say it all.
The other day, I was walking down on rue Jean-Baptiste Pigalle and I noticed a small place near the Trinité church, its facade painted in grey and named Momoka.
As I'm curious and wanted to know more about this charming little place (asian people obviously holding the business..), I checked on the internet and discovered it was a restaurant.

I then wondered what kind of people would own a restaurant and not advertise it, especially since they're located in a quiet area..
Masayo Hashimoto is among them.
But as soon as you'll have eaten her cuisine, you'll understand she does not need to advertise.
The restaurant was full and the people seemed to be regular customers.

We had 2 options : choose specific meals from the menu or simply let Masayo decide for us with the "menu dégustation".
Intrigued, we couldn't resist to the second one. So we opted for an entrée + 3 other surprised dishes.
But first, we ordered a freshly squeezed lemon and ginger juice which was simply fantastic.

Along with the drink, we had the entrée, a tasteful plate with lots of different things as sesame chips, marinated aubergine and artichoke, mushrooms, potato salad, yellow cauliflower etc.. with tons of flavors !!

Then we had the 3 courses : mackerel / sardine & salmon / chicken & veggie/meatball + rice

It was very delicate and filling enough food but we were so delighted that we wanted to try the "assortiment de desserts" and we were not disappointed as it was totally delish !

Matcha tiramisu, Yuzu sorbet, Matcha & Cream cake
Black sesame pannacotta, Yuzu cake, salted caramel ice cream, chocolate fondant

I don't know if it was a problem of language for the japanese waitress, but the sad thing is that they don't really tell you what they bring to the table. When we asked, they replied it was salmon or sardine etc... But they did not explain what kind of marinade, spices, herbs etc... they had used to prepare the meals.
Well, honestly, that's the only bad critic I would give to the restaurant.
Once you've been "introduced" to Momoka, you're in love.
